Voxium: Voice AI Recorder
Last updated: September 24, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Voxium ("the app", "we", "us") handles your information. Voxium is published by its independent developer, reachable at mohamedazad415@gmail.com.
1. Summary
Your recordings stay on your device. We do not run a server that receives your audio, transcripts, or summaries. We do not sell your data. Voxium shows ads provided by Google AdMob and uses Adapty for purchase analytics; your recordings, transcripts, and summaries are never shared with advertisers, Google, or Adapty, and are never used to select ads.
2. Information stored on your device
Voxium stores the following only on your iPhone (and, if you use it, your Apple Watch):
- Audio recordings that you make or import
- Transcripts, summaries, key points, tasks, flashcards, and speaker labels generated from your recordings
- Titles, tags, favorites, markers, and folders
- App settings
This data is not sent to us. If you delete a recording, it is removed from the app. On the Free plan, deleted recordings are erased permanently. On Pro, they move to the Trash until you empty it. Deleting the app removes all of its data from your device.
3. Microphone
Voxium needs microphone access to record audio. Audio is recorded only when you start a recording, on iPhone or on Apple Watch.
4. Speech recognition
Transcription uses Apple's Speech framework. Depending on your device and language, Apple may process audio on its servers to produce the transcript. This processing is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy, not by us. You can decline speech recognition permission; recording will still work.
5. On-device AI
Summaries, tasks, chapters, and flashcards are generated on your device with Apple's on-device models (Apple Intelligence), when your device supports it. This content is not sent to us.
6. Speaker identification
Speaker identification runs on your device. The first time you use it, the app downloads a small machine-learning model (about 26 MB) from a public model host (Hugging Face). Your recordings are not uploaded; only the model file is downloaded. After that, it works offline.
7. Face ID / Touch ID
If you enable App Lock, Voxium uses Apple's biometric authentication. Voxium never receives or stores your biometric data; it only receives a yes or no answer from iOS.
8. Apple Watch
Voxium exchanges recordings, settings, and status between your iPhone and Apple Watch using Apple's WatchConnectivity. This happens directly between your own devices.
9. Purchases, analytics and advertising
Purchases. Subscriptions and purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your payment details.
Analytics (Adapty). To understand how purchases perform, we use Adapty (adapty.io). Adapty receives purchase and subscription events (for example, product purchased, price, date) together with an anonymous identifier, your device model, operating system version, app version, and approximate country derived from your IP address. Adapty does not receive your recordings, transcripts, or any of your content. See Adapty's privacy policy at https://adapty.io/privacy-policy/.
Advertising (Google AdMob). Voxium uses Google AdMob to display ads. To show and measure ads, Google may collect and use:
- Your device's advertising identifier (IDFA, only if you allow tracking) or other device identifiers
- Your IP address and the approximate location derived from it
- Information about ads you have seen and how you interact with them
- App interaction, crash, and performance data
Ads may be personalized or non-personalized depending on your choices.
- On iOS, Voxium asks for your permission before tracking you across other companies' apps and websites. You can refuse, and you can change your choice at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
- Where required by law (for example in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom), Voxium asks for your consent to ads before showing personalized ads, and you can review your choice later.
- Google's use of data is described at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and in Google's Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
- Your recordings, transcripts, summaries, and speaker labels are never sent to Google or to any advertiser.
10. Data used to track you
If you allow tracking, the following data may be used to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies: device identifiers, approximate location, purchase information, and advertising and usage data. If you decline, ads are shown without using your advertising identifier.
11. Exporting your data
You can export recordings and transcripts (M4A, WAV, MP3, text, Markdown) and send them to Files, iCloud Drive, or other services you choose. These exports happen only when you ask for them. Once a file leaves the app, the destination service's privacy policy applies.
12. What we do not collect
We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, or precise location. We do not access your recordings for advertising. Advertising identifiers and related ad data are collected only through the services described in section 9, and only in line with the choices you make in iOS and in the consent prompt.
13. Children
Voxium is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. We do not knowingly show personalized ads to children.
14. Your rights
Because we do not hold your content, you control it directly in the app. If you have questions about your information, or want to know what limited data we may hold (for example analytics data), contact us and we will respond. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK, or California), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data, and to withdraw your consent to ads at any time.
15. Changes
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the latest version. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
